From November 19th to 21st , 2015, the 6th Asia-Pacific Innovation Conference, was held jointly by School of Management, National Institution for Innovation Management, and Institution for Intellectual Property Management at Zhejiang University. The conference brought together distinguished scholars from 16 countries, from the disciplines of economics, management and law with a focus on innovation. Professors Luc Soete (Rector Magnificus of Maastricht University), Reiko Aoki (Executive Vice President of Kyushu University), Bruno van Pottelsberghe (Dean of Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, University Libre de Bruxelles), Huilin Lin (Department of Economics, National Taiwan University), Xiaobo Wu (Dean of School of Management, Zhejiang University) delivered keynote speeches and participated in the Panel Discussions. The first plenary session was hosted by Professor Xiaobo Wu. He firstly gave warm welcome to the participants on behalf of the school of management, Zhejiang university, and said that with the "new norm" of global economy, innovation plays an increasingly significant role in economic growth. He believed that the Asia-Pacific innovation conference provided a good platform to strengthen academic cooperation, communication and knowledge-sharing in innovation field. The 16 parallel sessions together with the five plenary sessions, were centered on the diverse topics such as entrepreneurship", "industry innovation", "innovation and employment", "intellectual property" etc. Scholars shared their latest research results and discussed the contribution, limitations and potential improvement of each others work.

The conference lasted for two full days and came to a successful end at noon of November the 21th. It showed internationalization of the School of Management and its active participation and contribution to the international academic community on innovation study and enhance the visibility of the newly created Institute for Intellectual Property Management at the School.
