Prof. Can Huang attended the “Research and Innovation Observatory: International Expert Workshop”

On April 21-22, 2016, Prof. Can Huang attended the “Research and Innovation Observatory: International Expert Workshop” in Brussels, Belgium and gave a presentation on the topic of “Research and Innovation System and Main Challenges in China”. In the presentation, Prof. Can Huang provided an overview of the research and innovation System in China, discussed the public and private funding of research and innovation and expenditure, framework conditions for research and innovation and internationalization of research and innovation in China. The workshop is part of the Institute’s research project commissioned by the Joint Research Center, the European Commission, to provide overview of the research innovation system, recent policies and system developments and international collaboration. China is one of the five countries studied in the project together with the United States, India, Brazil and Mexico.
