To implement the Memorandum of Cooperation signed by Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development (CASTED) and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), both sides jointly held Symposium on International Comparison of Knowledge Transfer Policies and Practices in Beijing on July 19^th, 2016. Mr. Zhang Bingqing, Deputy Director General of Department of Policies, Regulation and Supervision, Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Mr. Hu Zhijian, President of the CASTED and Mr. Carsten Fink, the Chief Economist of the WIPO spoke in the symposium. Prof. Can Huang was invited to discuss the Joint Project on International Comparison of Knowledge Transfer Policies and Practices. In the draft country studies session, Prof. Can Huang presented related Chinese academic studies on knowledge transfer from public to private Sector and later had a lively discussion with Ms. Pippa Hall, the Chief Economist of the UK Intellectual Property Office and the scholars from other countries.
