On June 15^th, 2019, the second China Intellectual Property Policy and Management Development Forum was held at Chongqing University of Technology. More than 180 experts and scholars from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhejiang University, Tongji University, Nanjing University of Technology, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology, South China University of Science and Technology and other research institutions have attended the Forum to discuss IP policies and management practices in China.

Professor Can Huang, Professor Suli Zheng and Ms. Ge Xu from IIPM participated in the forum. Professor Can Huang spoke during the roundtable session of the Frontier of Science Policy and Management Research of IP. In the session Intellectual Property Litigation and Intellectual Property Quality, he presented the study China’s Patent Citation and the value of the Patented Innovations and Professor Suli Zheng was one of the commentators during the session. In the session for graduate students, Ms. Ge Xu, Ph. D. candidate of IIPM, reported the study Does Technology Transfer Office Facilitate University Technology Transfer? –Empirical Research on University Patent Sales Data.

The study China’s Patent Citation and the value of the Patented Innovations received the Best Paper Award after a rigorous review procedure. The paper was a joint work by Ms. Shen Huijun, Ph. D. candidate of IIPM, Associate Professor Kenneth Huang Guang-Lih of the National University of Singapore, Professor Can Huang and Professor Hao Mao of the Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property of Tongji University.
