On 10 September, 2020, Professor Can Huang participated in the "Yangtze River Delta Industrial Transformation and High-Quality Economic Development Forum ".

This forum was held in Jiangbei New Area, Nanjing. Experts and scholars from all over the country provided suggestions for the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region.

This event was organized by Jiangsu Intellectual Property Office, the Jiangbei New Area Management Committee and Jiangsu University. Professor Yifu Lin, President of the Institute of New Structural Economics of Peking University gave the keynote speech via video call. Professor Lin pointed out that each region should use its own comparative advantages and form a competitive advantage through coordinated regional development.

In the session on intellectual property and innovation development, Mr. Yu Zhu, honorary chairman of Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology Innovation, Mr. Yongqing Hong, director of Shanghai Office of Council for Promoting South-South Cooperation, Professor Yide Ma, President of Research Institute of Zhongguancun Intellectual Property Strategy and Professor Can Huang, the Executive Deputy Director of National Institute for Innovation Management and the Co-Director of Institute for Intellectual Property Management, School of Management, Zhejiang University, engaged each other in the discussion. They analyzed the contribution of intellectual property and innovation to economic development.
