On November 25, 2020, the Institute for Intellectual Property Management, School of Management, Zhejiang University (hereafter referred to as “the institute”) held a stakeholders meeting in Hangzhou. The meeting also had participants connected through a videoconference system. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ruud Peters, the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Institute. At the meeting, participants discussed four presentations, including Current and Future Development of the Institute for Intellectual Property Management, IP governance in Internet Platform: The case of Original Design Program of Alibaba, Geographical Scope of Knowledge Source, R&D mode and Generative Appropriability, and The effect of Collaborative R&D on Absorption Speed of External Technology.

Mr. Ruud Peters started the meeting by introducing the participants. Prof. Xiaobo Wu gave a welcome speech referring to the ongoing work of the institute. Prof. Frans Greidanus, Dr. Yao Fu, Dr. Huijun Shen, and Ms. Jiayue Sun gave presentations, which were followed by discussions with the participants. Finally, the participants gave suggestions to the institute, among these, to continue collaboration with industry partners, and to explore new research directions considering new technologies and areas of public interest, such as internet platforms, policy innovation and blockchain.
