Dr. Lina Lai graduated from South China Agricultural University in 2013 with dual Bachelor's degrees in Food Quality and Safety (Engineering) and Law. In 2016, she earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Tongji University and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Management Science and Engineering from the Free University of Brussels (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) under the sponsorship of China Scholarship Council. She completed her Ph.D. in Economic Law at Zhejiang University in 2022.

Dr. Lai has long been engaged in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of new technologies and intellectual property. She has served as a principal investigator or key participant in numerous national and provincial-level research projects, including the National Social Science Foundation Post-Funding Project, Major Projects of the National Social Science Foundation, National Social Science Foundation Projects, and National Key R&D Programs. Additionally, she has contributed as a key participant in drafting expert opinions for several government initiatives, such as the "Copyright Law (Amendment Draft)," "Intellectual Property Protection Standards for Commodity Trading Markets (Draft)," and the "Zhejiang Province Digital Economy Promotion Regulation (Draft)."

Dr. Lai has published multiple articles in internationally and domestically renowned academic journals indexed by SSCI and CSSCI, including Governance Studies, Intellectual Property, and Legal Studies. Her academic achievements have been recognized through prestigious awards, such as the Chinese Government Scholarship for studying in Belgium (Flemish Government Scholarship) and the title of Outstanding Graduate from Zhejiang Province.
